With Naomi Osaka and Serena Williams out of the 2019 French Open, their side of the draw opens wide and allows Australian player Ashleigh Barty to be favorite to reach the semi-finals.
Barty is a crafty player and is currently #8 in the world and she has Madison Keys as her biggest nemesis. Barty is still unproven on clay while Keys has reached the semifinals here last year, which shows how comfortable she is on clay.
Well, Ashleigh has to take care of American Sofia Kenin first, the vainqueur of Serena Williams and then possibly meet Madison in the QFs.
