Last year's semifinalist Juan Martin del Potro is my pick on his side of the draw because he has a better head-to-head against Dominic Thiem, who is his prospective opponent in the QFs.
That should equal his performance last year in the French clay. In the semi's Novak Djokovic is his most likely opponent.
His draw though is not as tricky as Novak as only Karen Khachanov and Feliciano Lopez are the most tough opponents.
Still, he has to bring his A-game daily, otherwise any of these guys and those in his draw can easily fill in his slot.
Fortunately for him, no Big 3 to meet till the semi's, so a big opportunity is in his hands.
