My Picks for the 2019 Women's French Open Title (#3): Elina Svitolina

The Paris stage of the 2019 French Open is the best way Elina Svitolina can introduce herself to the world. She is a WTA Finals Champion after all, so she is capable of winning a grand slam and in my opinion, Roland Garros is her best chance.

She has a very tough draw though, but in my experience, those who win grand slams usually get a tough draw. It toughens them for the most important matches.

The players Svitolina might meet on her way to the semifinals include Garbine Muguruza, Sloane Stephens, Johanna Konta or Belinda Bencic. Sloane Stephens is in form once again and wants another chance at the trophy this time around. Konta is also very dangerous now since her confidence level is so high.

I just hope Elina doesn't fold up and gives up easily this time. The grand slam is a totally different stage as all the eyes of the world are on it - so getting the jitters is expected.

Elina is just way too talented not to show the world what she can do. She has an opportunity in this year's RG, so I hope she doesn't waste that opportunity to shine!
